Calling All Philosophy PhDs
Academic Philosophy Data and Analysis (APDA) is currently running its 2025 survey, which ends December 31st of this year. We have spent the last several months collecting data on current philosophy PhD students and recent graduates, with the goal of providing information to the philosophy community about employment outcomes and the graduate experience. Anyone in the database who graduated in the past 10 years or who is a current philosophy PhD student should have received access to their personalized APDA dashboard and a link to the anonymous survey. However, we were unable to easily find email addresses for some of you, and others have email addresses that bounced. So if you have not already received an email from us in the past couple of months, you can still take part by filling out the form below. If we can match you to our database, or otherwise identify you, we will send you access to your dashboard and the survey by December 15th. Please share widely! We would like to get as complete a picture of the discipline as we can, both for the sake of prospective students and for the field more broadly.
